Transport
Bus timetables: For a village bus timetable for Chrishall please use the main menu option.
Railways: The nearest rail station is Audley End, just west of Saffron Walden, with trains south to London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport and north to Cambridge and beyond.
Royston station is some 8 miles distant and provides trains south to London Kings Cross and north to Cambridge and Kings Lynn.
If you are 60 years of age or over, you are entitled to a senior railcard which will give you a third off most fares. It is significantly cheaper to purchase it from Uttlesford D.C's offices (Tel: 01799 510510) rather than from a station.

- A new emergency text service for the deaf, hard of hearing and speech-impaired was introduced on Monday, July 6 2009. Now, instead of ringing 999 in an emergency, they can text a message to 07624 800102 and receive a similar priority service. Full details can be found here
