Chrishall's Emergency Planning Officer, Richard Keeling, has decided to step down.
The main responsibilities of his replacement will be to make sure the Plan is kept up to date and to maintain contact with Uttlesford District Council's Emergency Planning Officer. She holds a current copy of the Plan and she sometimes also requests information or arranges training courses.
The role will be a key one in the very unlikely event of an emergency but shouldn't ordinarily require more than two or three hours' time per month.
